Earlier NAPLAN results to benefit schools
For the first time in the history of NAPLAN assessments, Australian schools started receiving their preliminary NAPLAN results at the beginning of term 2. Getting the results to schools sooner is a key benefit of having moved the assessment from May to March last year, as well as delivering the tests fully online.
Teachers will now have more time to consider the results in the preliminary School and Student Summary Reports (SSSRs), alongside their own assessments, to inform their teaching and learning programs and work with individual students who require additional support.
Schools will receive their full results, including writing, from June 2024. Parents and carers will receive their child’s Individual Student Report from the start of Term 3. ACARA is then expecting to publish the National Results in mid-August 2024.
