We are keen to hear from principals, teachers, parents and carers about their NAPLAN experience this year following a number of changes made in 2023, including the tests taking place earlier in March instead of May and the new proficiency standards.
We would particularly like to understand your views on the earlier timing of NAPLAN and the changes to reporting to provide simpler, clearer and more meaningful results to schools, parents and carers.
The feedback provided may help inform any future improvements to NAPLAN.

2022 NAP-ICT Literacy Report released
We have just released the first national NAP–ICT Literacy results since the COVID-19 pandemic, highlighting the digital skills among young Australians.
The test, part of the National Assessment Program (NAP) sample assessments, was undertaken in 2022 and tests students’ general ICT skills and knowledge in a sample of schools across the country. The sample tests are held every 3 years but were cancelled in 2020 and 2021 due to the pandemic.

World Teachers' Day - 27 October
World Teachers' Day is coming up on Friday 27 October and we’re supporting our friends at the Australian Institute for Teaching and School Leadership by asking people to share a “hats off” selfie to celebrate our amazing teachers.
You can get ready for World Teachers' Day by thinking about how you want to make teachers feel special on the day or going to the World Teachers' Day photobooth and taking your own “hats off” to teachers selfie.
Let’s celebrate Australia’s teachers for their skilled work in educating, inspiring and supporting our students.
