Please take our NAPLAN survey
Did you know that NAPLAN is moving from May to March from 2023 onwards?
This means results will be available to parents, carers, schools and teachers earlier in the year.
We have launched a survey asking parents and carers, teachers and principals to tell us how you use NAPLAN results and your thoughts about receiving results earlier in the year.
Please
take our survey now.

We have also released updated data on participation in full-time education, training and employment of young people aged 15 to 24 as well as key performance measures for:
- school attendance
- participation and attainment in education and work

New Digital Technologies video: Algorithms
In this video, Kim Vernon our Curriculum Specialist, Technologies and the curriculum writers discuss the changes to the algorithm content descriptions in the Australian Curriculum, Version 9.0 Digital Technologies subject.
The underlying content is largely the same, but our revisions have changed the wording to give teachers more clarity and detail about what they need to teach.
We’re more explicit in our explanations, we’re using terminology that teachers are familiar with and expecting to use, and we have removed the duplications within subjects and learning areas.

New Digital Technologies video:Algorithms and Maths in Digital Technologies
Teachers are teaching algorithms every day within the curriculum, such as spelling, phonics and Mathematics.
In this video, Kim Vernon our Curriculum Specialist, Technologies and the curriculum writers explain how highlighting related content and synergies between learning areas is an important feature of the new Australian Curriculum, Version 9.0 website.
By explicitly talking about algorithms in both Mathematics and Digital Technologies, the new curriculum is more tightly integrating them, which leads to a deeper understanding of both learning areas.
