September 2019
From ACARA's CEO
We have recently updated our strategic plan, which has now been approved by our Board. I love our updated vision statement:
Inspire improvement in the learning of all young Australians through world-class curriculum, assessment and reporting.
The addition of the word 'inspire' goes to the spirit with which we undertake our work: we recognise that the ultimate outcomes of what we do are achieved through the work of teachers, so we are committed to doing the best job we can to support teachers to fan the flames of wonder in our children and young people, so they can learn and grow into the best versions of themselves they can be.

Kind regards,
David de Carvalho
ACARA CEO
